Break In The Loop

DESCRIPTION
Break In The Loop is a second year student project of Game Design consisting to imagine, prototype and create a Escape Game video game, collaborative with 3 players, playing at the same time in VR and in reality.
The game takes place in the United States, in Chicago during the 1920s, the period of prohibition. Players take on the role of a group of burglars whose goal is to infiltrate Friar's Inn, a speakeasy in Chicago's Loop district, in order to steal the proceeds from the sale of bootleg liquor.

VR & Reality
VR Player
VR player have to search and find clues in the rooms they explore in order to advance in the game. He must communicate what he has found and what he sees to the other players, while taking into consideration the clues given by him, in order to solve the puzzles.
Non-VR Player
Non-VR player have clues in paper version. These clues are crucial to solve the different puzzles in the game. Their goal is to pass on their clues to the VR player and also to hear the player describe what he is seeing.
My Role
- Created solvable puzzles in cooperation between VR and reality.
- Programmed puzzles and events using the Unreal Engine Blueprint.
- Wrote extensive documentation for the team.
- Ran playtesting sessions.
- Implemented all audio into the game.
